Além da hidratação caseira, a cabeleireira Lela Athanasio, do salão Crystal Hair, também indica reconstruções capilares. “Aos 40, o cabelo da mulher fica mais ressecado devido a diminuição dos hormônios, então é necessário uma carga extra na hora de hidratar. As reconstruções capilares ajudam a devolver a maciez e maleabilidade que os fios precisam”, ensina.

Também é importante cuidado ao tingir os cabelos. “Começam a surgir os primeiros fios brancos e as mulheres correm para os salões para pintá-los, mas elas devem estar preparadas para a manutenção da cor. É recomendado usar produtos como xampu, condicionador e leave in para cabelos coloridos”, diz a cabelereira Zeni Meireles, da Ophicina do Cabelo.
